I was elected Director of Social Events by my chapter, Delta Gamma, at CU Boulder. Over a year and a half, I worked alongside my partner, Jillian Matunis, to plan over 20 events. Our chapter has over 500 women, and almost every event includes a plus one, with our fall formal having nearly 1,000 attendees.

The events included: 2 formals, 2 date parties, and over 10 events planned with fraternal organizations. This taught me collaboration, time management, and how much goes on behind the scenes for event planning.

Highlights:

-Managed a budget of over $90,000

-Executed a formal at Folsom Field, never done before at our chapter

-Coordinate for all events including venues, companies, security, transportation, entertainment, and catering to ensure the enjoyment for everyone involved

-Co-planned a Mom’s weekend outdoor social event with a live band

-Successfully refreshed date parties by introducing unique, engaging locations
